A LOOK INSIDE QUESTLOVE’S SNEAKER COLLECTION

Questlove has proved himself to be an icon of the hip-hop game as well as the sneaker scene. Primarily recognized as a prominent DJ and drummer for legendary hip-hop group The Roots, Questlove has gained a rock-solid reputation as being one of the true sneakerheads in pop culture circles, collaborating directly with Nike on numerous occasions. Questlove recently gave his Instagram followers a quick peek into his sneaker collection, storing his stash in three simple ways: in boxes, on shelves, and stuffed in closets. Spot anything in his stash that you might have? Take a look at Questlove’s sneaker collection below (as well as pair of Air Force 1s he designed back in ’05 and his most recent sneaker pick-up) and let us know where you think Questlove ranks among the all-time celeb sneakerheads!

Can’t forget the ‘Miami Dolphins’ colorway of the Speed Turf Max either!Nike SB’s June arrivals are hitting stores, but it was a teaser of an upcoming Brooklyn Projects collaboration that got our attention. Collaborations were key; Packer Shoes hits us with the ‘Tech Pack’ while Asics partners with Afew and WOEI in two separate projects. adidas hits us with some Jeremy Scott specialties for Fall/Winter 2012, and Reebok continues to make noise with the confirmation of the Twilight Zone re-release – not to mention this week’s Classics Revisited feature. Back to Nike – Cole Haan and Umbro have parted ways with Nike (effective in 2013), but they made up with that ‘loss’ with the completed Nike Logo project, which displays every single Nike logo in history. There’s a lot more to see below so kick off June with the best recap of the best sneaker site out there!

June 9th is quietly shaping up to be the biggest sneaker release date in a good while; could it creep up on us and run away with the crown? We’ll most certainly be watching to see if the

This Nike Air Max Griffey Fury pairs Metallic Silver with New Green and black accents, a kind of alternate Mariners look that you might pair with some dark denim to complete the color scheme. June is officially here (my how fast the year has gone by), so we’ll kick off the new month with yet another Weekly Rewind with amazing news. We finally caught a first detailed look at the upcoming ‘Raptors’ Air Jordan VII while getting treated with a new Son Of Mars colorway. Nike officially unveiled the most hyped shoe of the year (the Yeezy 2), although by then, Sneaker News had the Yeezy 2 covered from beginning to end. The Nike BBall trio were headlines again; KD got his Scoring Title props, LeBron 9 Low extends through June, and Kobe chants ‘USA’ with a new colorway. Some older Nike Basketball hits came to light, as we got treated with more angles of the Dream Team Collection, while the ‘World Basketball Festival’ Pack, consisting of Washington, Barcelona, and London, will get Dunked and Forced out.
