AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO – SUMMER ’09 COLLECTION

An extension of his work with Undercrown, Mos’ signature midtop adidas is clearly influenced by the album art from Dead Prez’ 2004 album, RBG:Revolutionary but Gangsta.  It features the signature red, black and green paisley ‘bandana’ design on the midsole, along with a ton of other textures on the side panels, tongue and lining. 

The Air Jordan I has been getting some serious love lately, appearing in countless new colorways of the high and low models, and after seeing the summer collection, it is clear that there is no plan to slow it down.

The Ato Matsumoto Haikattosunika, or ‘Hiker Sneakers’ look more like AM’s answer to the Nike Air buy Yeezy Boost than a true hiking boot, but they’re pretty dope despite the misnomer. 

For those who are big appreciators of the extra-high cut sneaker craze, the RT1 provides a nice alternative to some similar higher priced models. If you missed out or were simply priced out of a pair of Air Fake Yeezy Boost 350’s, the Nike RT1 is a slightly simpler, but in many ways, just as stylish high top sneaker and you can get a pair for less than half the price of Kanye’s shoe.
